Counseling
Life is messy, feelings can be messy, and we all do what we can to make it through. I want you to imagine for a moment what life could be like if you weren't just making it through. What life could look like if you were able to feel those feelings and no longer felt controlled by obsessive thinking, perfectionism, alcohol, food, body image, or anxiety. Now that you have that image let's make it possible together.
What We do
The therapists at AP Counseling and Yoga utilize a variety of therapeutic methods to deliver treatment and support find freedom from anxiety, perfectionism, body image, substance abuse, and food. We specialize in supporting mental health concerns for adults and adolescents in both individual, group, and yoga therapy. We will help you navigate your psychological, emotional, mental, spiritual, and physical health.
Our therapists are master level licensed clinicians with expertise in CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, ACT (Acceptance Commitment Therapy), DBT (Dialectal Behavioral Therapy), Somatic Therapy, Trauma Informed Yoga, Health at Every Size, Polyvagal Theory, Intuitive Eating, and Mindfulness. We have a variety of price points depending on what therapist you schedule with. We are inclusive and affirming of the LGBTQ+ community.
Our Approach
We believe in a integrative approach to mental health care. What does that mean? We take into consideration the whole person both emotionally, spiritually, and physically. We step back and know that you cannot separate someone from themselves and their environment that you have to view a person in their entirety including the spaces they are living in currently and those spaces they were raised in.
We have a core belief that we are all stronger together. The therapists at APCY achieve this though strong collaboration with additional providers throughout the community based on your individualized needs which could include: a psychiatrist, eating disorder dietitians, trauma specialists, yoga therapists, acupuncture, 12-step recovery programs, and other referrals as needed. If you have an eating disorder a team approach including a registered dietitian is best practices.
